St. Ann’s Academy (SAA) is pleased to welcome players, coaches and guests to the 2017 Senior Boys A Volleyball Provincial Championships in Kamloops!

$375 per team, payable to St. Ann’s Academy.


T-shirts and sweatshirts are available in sizes small, medium, large, and extra large.  T-shirts cost $20 each and sweatshirts cost $40 each.



Team pictures will take place immediately after your first match. Schedules will be provided at the coaches meeting.

Sat Nov 11:
Zone qualifications are completed

Mon Nov 13:
Teams that have qualified submit their registration (roster, clothing order, banquet ticket order, team photo (high quality with numbers visible), athletic logo and book hotel. Note – rooms at the Hamton Inn are blocked until the end of today Nov 13 th – rooms at Hotel540 will be released after Wed Nov 15 th . Enough rooms for the whole tournament have been blocked (1/2 at each hotel). See Accommodations below for more information.

Tues Nov 14:
Final seeding for the tournament established by Zone Reps and Provincial schedule and draw is published on website. Tournament format is two pools of six teams playing round robin games within pool. The top 4 teams in each pool after round robin play advance to the quarter-finals. The last two teams in each pool compete for 9-12 th placement.

Wed Nov 22:
3:30pm – 9pm 30 min practise sessions available at St. Ann’s Academy. The competition venues (TCC & TRU) gyms will not be available until the tournament starts Thurs Nov 23.
Coaches meeting at St. Ann’s Academy at 8pm.

Thurs Nov 23:
Warm Up for 1 st game at 7:30am, start 8am at Tournament Capital Centre (TCC). Opening Ceremonies at 9am also at TCC is mandatory for all participants. Be at TCC by 8:40am. Team pictures will take place at TCC between games today – schedule to follow. Games continue at TCC until 4pm.
The Banquet will be held at St. Ann’s Academy @ 6:30pm and is mandatory for all participants. Cost is $25 per person and includes a special guest speaker. Buffet Style: Herb roasted chicken, penne with meat sauce, caesar salad, tossed salad, buns, dessert etc.

Fri Nov 24:
We will play at the TCC gyms in the morning then the tournament will move across the street to the Thompson Rivers University (TRU) gyms. Warm up at TCC begins at 7:30am, games start at 8am and continue until lunch time. We then cross over to the TRU gyms. Warm up at TRU is at 1:00pm, start 1:30pm. Games continue at TRU until 4:30pm. The Big Bounce competition will take place at the completion of all games. Teams are invited to watch the TRU vs Manitoba men’s university game starting at 7:45pm @ TCC. Entrance to the university game is free for all tournament participants and coaches. The AGM will take place while the university game is on. The AGM will be held at TCC and will start at 8pm.

Sat Nov 25:
Warm up will start at 7:30am, start at 8am at TRU gym. Playoff games will continue all day ending at 5:00pm. Awards and closing ceremonies at TRU will follow immediately after the conclusion of all games at 5:30pm. For those not traveling Sat night there is another university match between TRU and Manitoba starting at 6:45pm at TCC.


Healthfare Restaurants has food and catering available at the TCC. Players and coaches get a 15% discount and teams can pre-order meals for specific times using this order form. Click here to see the full menu.


The Hotel 540 and the Hampton Inn are sponsoring the tournament. Enough rooms for all have been blocked off (1/2 at each hotel). Cost is $110 and $119 per night. All rooms come with 2 queen beds. A hot and cold breakfast is complimentary at each hotel. Parking is free. Both hotels have pools and are approximately 5-7 minutes from the venues. Please book your rooms at these sponsoring hotels!
